No previous injectable experience is required. AAFE’s Level 1 Botulinum Toxin & Filler Training is specifically designed for beginners and healthcare professionals who are new to facial esthetics. The course includes step-by-step instruction in facial anatomy, injection techniques, safety protocols, and hands-on live patient training to help you build confidence and foundational skills safely.

AAFE courses include hands-on live patient training supervised by experienced instructors. Participants who bring a qualified model patient can perform injections during training, with additional opportunities sometimes available depending on course timing and patient availability. Model patients are not provided, so it is highly recommended you bring your own to guarantee live injection participation.

AAFE training courses are open to licensed healthcare professionals, which may include physicians, dentists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, registered nurses, and other qualified medical professionals where permitted by law. Eligibility and scope of practice vary by state, province, and country, so participants should verify local requirements and treatment permissions with their applicable licensing or regulatory board.

Your course fee includes on-demand learning modules, live hands-on training, expert instruction, 1 vial of neurotoxin or dermal filler for use in the course (varies by course type), and certification upon successful completion of the course. Many programs also include access to additional educational resources and post-training support.

Yes. All AAFE live patient training programs offer CME/CE credits, and participants receive certification after successfully completing the required coursework and hands-on training.

Live patient courses may be rescheduled at no charge when requested at least 10 days before your scheduled training date (exceptions for Core 4 events may apply).
