This patient originally came to see me starting in November of 2021 in preparation for her wedding in April of 2022. She came in stating she wanted to address a few areas that she was self-conscious about and to help feel her best on her wedding day. It is important to note that she did not start this journey one month before her wedding day. We had some time to be able to map out a treatment plan to ensure that all of her treatments were spaced out appropriately and optimize her results. Areas of concern do not appear overnight, so it is important to remain realistic in the results that you, as an injector, can achieve in one appointment. Bruising and swelling are very real side effects of injectables, so when creating your treatment plan, you must consider these factors.
In November of 2021, when I started treating this patient, I started with cosmetic Botox in her Frontalis and Glabella. This was to help relax those muscles for a period of three months to help eliminate fine lines and wrinkles in the forehead and between the eyebrows. From here, we were able to create a toxin schedule that was spaced accordingly right up until the wedding. I also placed one syringe of Juvederm Ultra in her lips to help build volume and give her a more defined shape to her cupid’s bow.
One month later, in December 2021, the patient was requesting a little bit more volume in her lips, so I placed one more syringe of Juvederm Ultra in her lips.
In January of 2022, we started submental tightening treatment with Kybella. We used a total of two vials of Kybella to dissolve her submental fat and give her a more defined jawline. Oftentimes, Kybella requires multiple treatments to achieve desired results. This patient was pleased with her results after the first treatment, so we did not continue with any other treatments.
In February of 2022, we wanted to achieve a little more support in her midface and cheek, so I placed 0.7cc of Radiesse in her cheeks. To give her a more balanced side profile after filling her lips, we decided to give her more projection of her chin. I placed 0.4cc of Radiesse in the chin to achieve this. Not only did chin filler help to elongate her jawline, it also helped to disguise any excess tissue remaining in her submental area.
As you can see from the attached photos, this patient still looks like herself. Our goal at the AAFE is to not change the way our patients look, but to make them feel like a more refreshed version of themselves.
